The TWISTEP Extension Bracket provides clearance for the spare tire and is required for the following vehicles:

We had the product on our Kia for several years. Even with an extender piece it does not work on Rivians
Based on reviews and research of competing products I had high expectations. They have been exceeded. My dogs are happy and my back is less creaky. Just perfect.
We have a 150lb Newfoundland Service Dog. I had a $200, heavy duty, top of the line, ramp for him to get in and out of my Ford Expedition Max but it was slowly killing my shoulders. And it was large and awkward to carry in an already full vehicle. It took a few times to teach him how to use the Twistep but he does it gracefully now and we had zero issues installing it. It works like a dream. Very easy to maneuver considering its heft and durability. I would recommend this to anyone who has a dog who needs a boost getting in and out of the car.
I have had my current Twistep since 2006 when we added our second Leonberger to our family. Just now replacing it so they are definitely built to last. If you have an SUV and you have a dog, you need this step! Jumping high into a truck can wear on their hips. Jumping out of a high truck is horrible for their elbows. All it takes is a little misstep and it can result in serious injury to your dog no matter size or age. When they get older and can't jump at all, the step helps get them off the ground a bit and makes lifting them into the SUV easier. This has been worth every penny and has been used by every one of my dogs since 2006!
Just perfect for my aging GSD. He loves the one large step as opposed to two smaller ones on a previous product. Would highly recommend for large breeds.
