Replacement Hardware Kit - Twistep for SUV's

The first part was a bolt. It was not long enough to pass through the outer housing over the original step bar. The housing fits every thing into a 2inch hitch. So then I ordered the locking bar. Same outcome. Can’t call even though it’s right in WA state. Can’t understand why I can’t get the right size piece both in diameter and length. At wits end. Need help. Can’t lift dog. [****]. Ann G.
